9/29/10 Sticking to your Goals

Are you sticking to your goals of eating right and exercising more throughout the week? Will you weigh in less tomorrow? Are you incorporating the strategies from ForwardFit?

Keeping track of your initial goals is important. If you have started to slip, make the necessary adjustments and get back on track.

Follow these quick tips to stay focused on your goals:

Look back at your initial goals when you started the program and see if you are on track. If not, start immediately incorporating the strategies that you learned when you started your fitness program.

Post your goals (weight, pant size, ideal image, vacation date, wedding date) on your computer screen, refrigerator and mirror. This reminder will keep you focused on your goals whenever you crave that sudden sweet or feel like skipping a workout.

Log your food and workouts! If you are not writing this down, how can you improve? By tracking your progress or lack thereof you can adjust accordingly, by lowering your total calories or increasing your workout intensity.

Get a workout partner! By having a workout partner you become accountable for each other increasing the likelihood of not skipping a workout.

Put these tips in place when reviewing your goals. Now go out and accomplish them!
