Not all is lost – Workouts that are efficient when there is no time

Holidays can get hectic and the first thing that usually goes is your workout routine. However, not all is lost. Try to fit a short but efficient calorie-burning workout in the free time you may have in a given day. Use a simple routine of four to five exercises that will burn some calories and can be adjusted around the spare time you have. For instance, a set of four exercises can be performed over and over with no rest for thirty minutes. If you only have fifteen minutes, do the same four exercises in that amount of time. Anything is better than nothing, especially if you are bringing this kind of intensity. Make sure you choose exercises that work your entire body and give you the most bang for the buck!

Try this workout (also this month’s Workout Challenge of the Month) for 15, 20, or 30 minutes, depending on your time restraints. Perform this in a circuit style and keep repeating until the time is up. To start try it for twenty minutes. Again, you can adjust this based on the time you have. Make it a challenge by marking how many rounds you completed within the time frame you gave yourself. Traveling during the holidays? No problem, this workout requires only you.

10 Pushups
15 Squats
20 Situps
