Onward Progress!

By Amy Pelz

The holidays are right around the corner which means that there will be temptation everywhere I turn. With the amount of progress I’ve made in the past month though, I don’t think getting through them will be that big of a challenge for me.

Since my last update, I’ve gained 3 pounds of muscle and my body fat hasn’t budged. I was surprised because I felt like I was gaining weight, but I wasn’t sure if it was muscle or fat. The reading on the body fat monitor confirmed though that I’m doing something right.

Bill had me increase my carbs again and I’m also on Creatine which is a supplement for muscle gain. I feel like I can lift more and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been before. I did add one more day of legs because I think they will take some more time to develop. There has been some progress with them though. Day one for legs is plyometric and day two is heavy lifting.

I took progress pictures last week and I’m noticing that my shoulders are looking more rounded. My back is also looking more developed and I’m also starting to see some definition in my chest.

Now that I’ve seen these gains, I’m hungry for so much more. The numbers alone are going to help me push harder and focus on my goals through the holidays. My fitness journey I’m working toward in May matters so much more to me than any amount of cookies or candy this holiday season. Tunnel vision all the way through May!
