Spotlight on Amy Pelz

How long have you been training with Bill Waltzek and ForwardFit?
I believe close to 2 years

Have you always worked out?
I’ve been active since I was in grade school. I started out with track, volleyball and softball. High school was track and cross country. I did track part of college. So, I’ve always been really active.

What is your favorite healthy food?
This is a new discovery: a handful of frozen raspberries with a scoop of chocolate protein powder microwaved and mixed together. Add a dollop of almond butter.

What is your cheat food?
Cheese enchiladas with the works!

What is something you hear people say about you and your progress? Well, everyone knows that I’m constantly working out, but I do it because I love it. My sister is always commenting on my toned legs and arms. No one ever guesses that I’m 30 and that’s because I believe that fitness is the fountain of youth. It’s extremely flattering to hear that my clothes are looking bigger. I’ve thinned down, toned up and most importantly, my health has improved immensely.

What do you struggle with when trying to achieve your goals? Sticking to my diet. It’s easier during the week, but once the weekend rolls around it gets tough.

How has ForwardFit helped you achieve your goals?

For the past few years, Bill has supplied me with the drive and the basics I need to succeed. When I slip up, whether it’s with my diet or in class, he’s always there to pick me back up and tell me to keep going.

ForwardFit is a community to me. Even when I don’t want to workout, I still encourage myself to go. The atmosphere is always very upbeat and fun. So, that makes it worthwhile. Everyone including Bill’s other clients are a support system. It’s nice to know that there are other people who enjoy doing the same things you like to do. When I graduated from college I thought I would be stuck behind a desk all day. But, ForwardFit has made that easier by offering classes during lunch and after work.

Additionally, I like how we touch on all aspects of fitness. Nutrition, new recipes, workouts and recovery. I’m always using the website as well as Facebook to check for new updates.

Bill is constantly teaching us new things. I love that he is into continuing his education. He’s definitely at the top of his game and I’m glad to be one of his clients!

What advice could you give others trying to stick with their Fitness Goals?
Envision your goal and gradually work towards it. Just take it day by day.

What are some of your favorite things about ForwardFit?

I love ForwardFit because Bill recognizes that variety is key. Without variety, we would all get bored. Every time I read a fitness magazine or see a new exercise, 9 times out of 10 we’ve already done it or heard it from Bill.

What is your favorite Class you are taking?
Boxing
