Working Through the Pain

A few weeks ago, I spent an hour and a half doing legs in the gym.  Usually when I hurt my back, I can feel it immediately.  This time was different though.  The pain came about when I was trying on clothes days later.  Scary stuff.  Not knowing that I even did it scared me even more.

So, unfortunately, I had to take a week off.  Even though I was getting better as the days progressed, I was dying inside thinking about the women I’ll be competing against.  I was imagining them being in the gym working harder while I was laid up in bed.

Today I’m back though and feeling better than ever.  I’m well rested and ready to take on the weights.  I think a week off was needed.  All in all, it was beneficial.  I was able to clear my head and now I’m fresh.

I’m starting to sort things out in terms of music, suit, and shoes.  I have some ideas for what I’d like to do for my posing routine.

All of the pieces are starting to come together in my mind.  I’m eager to see the outcome!
