Have you ever wanted something so bad that you will stop at nothing to get it? Every ounce of time and energy are put forth to achieving your goal. You visualize it so much that you can touch it, plan what you have to do to achieve it, and take the first steps to work toward it. Mental roadblocks don’t exist. Nothing stands in your way. Time and energy are sacrificed, along with blood, sweat and tears. All that matters is getting where you want to be. Everything else just falls to the wayside. You can see it so much that you can taste it. If you really want something bad enough, you will find a way to make it happen regardless of the curve balls life throws at you. This inner drive would not be possible without motivation. It’s more than the choices you make to get where you want to be. It’s a positive mindset. It’s the courage to make and stick with these choices that makes it all real and worth the journey. It’s that fire inside of us that fuels us to do something positive for ourselves to produce lasting results. What motivates you to really dig deep?
For me, it’s flipping through the pages of a fitness magazine and seeing tight, toned physiques. It’s hearing a co-worker say, “Wow, check out those biceps”. It’s the positive encouragement in Bill’s Saturday morning Metabolic Circuit Training class. It’s the community we have with ForwardFit. It’s that feeling of pride when I flex my abs and I’m able to see them in the mirror. It’s seeing the veins popping out of my arms when I’m lifting weights. It’s planning out my meals for the week and knowing that I’m making healthy choices for myself. It’s knowing that I’m eating clean and making it to the gym 6 days a week. It’s the simple steps that I’m taking to ensure that I’m reaching above and beyond my limits to becoming a better version of myself every single day.
A few years ago, motivation played a role in getting me where I wanted to be and still does today. Where will it take you? What’s your motivation? Let us know what motivates you in the comments section below. Join the ForwardFit community on Facebook and share your story!
